Friends of Haringey Music Service (CIO)
Formed in December 2025, the Friends of Haringey Music Service Charitable Incorporated Organisation (FoHMS) exists to promote the performing arts, particularly music, for pupils in schools across the London Borough of Haringey.
We provide financial and practical support that helps ensure all young people can access high‑quality musical education through Haringey Music Service.
FoHMS supports all Haringey Music Service bands, groups and ensembles, helping to enrich young people’s musical experiences through:
- Financial contributions towards the purchase and maintenance of instruments
- Subsidies for tours, workshops and special projects
- Financial assistance for families who may struggle to access musical opportunities
- Promotion and support for concerts and events
Every young musician who takes part in Haringey Music Service activities, and their families, is automatically a Friend and invited to attend our meetings.
How FoHMS Is Run
FoHMS is led by five Trustees and supported by a friendly group of volunteers. We always welcome additional help, whether as part of the volunteer group or assisting occasionally at concerts with tasks such as providing refreshments or selling programmes.
If you would like to contribute your time, either by joining the volunteer group or helping at future events, we would love to hear from you. Your support directly benefits young musicians across Haringey.
